Friend

Today I met with a friend from high school. We had a baby on the same day (she has a daughter, I have a son), so we had a lot in common. She brought her daughter to visit me and I was happy to see how much her child has grown.  My child is only 1 year old, so I have to keep an eye on him.  While the kids were napping, we had time to talk over coffee. It was a very refreshing experiencing, even though it was only for two hours. 

Since finishing school, it has been very difficult to make new friends.  Friends that I was close with during my school days have become estranged due to marriage and childbirth.  In such a situation, I am really happy that I still have friends with whom I can keep in touch.
I am looking forward to meeting her and her daughter next time.

友達

今日，高校時代の友達に会った。私たちは同じ日に出産したので（彼女は娘，私は息子），私たちには多くの共通点がある。友達は娘ちゃんを連れて家に遊びに来た。娘ちゃんの成長を見れて嬉しかった。息子はまだ１歳で，目を離すことができない。子供たちがお昼寝をしている間に，私たちはコーヒ＾を飲みながらおしゃべりをした。たったの２時間だったけれど，とてもリラックスできた。

学校を卒業してから，新しい友達をつくることがとても難しくなった。学生時代に仲が良かった友達でも，結婚や出産で疎遠になってしまった。こんな状況の中，今でも連絡を取り合う友達がいることはとても嬉しい。
次回，また彼女たちに会えるのが楽しみだな。
