Bowing

When I went to the day-care to pick up my son, he bowed to his teacher and said “Bye-bye”. I was surprised to see that. He can only speak a few words like “bye-bye”, and I haven’t taught him “bowing”. But, he bowed. He might often see adults bow to each other and so he copies that behavior.

It made me realize that my son is always learning from my behavior.

お辞儀

息子を保育園へ迎えに行くと，息子は先生にお辞儀をして「バイバイ」と言った。　それを見て私はびっくり。息子はまだ「バイバイ」ぐらいしか話せないし，「お辞儀」を教えたこともない。でもお辞儀した。たぶん，大人がお互いにお辞儀をしているのを頻繁に見て，マネしたんだろうな。

息子は常に私の行動から学んでいるということを実感した。
